About Me
I am a Daly Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard. My research focuses on greenhouse gas emissions from northern lakes and wetlands through high-resolution mapping. I have used optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) remote sensing datasets from airborne and UAV campaigns. I have conducted hydrologic fieldwork in the Alaskan permafrost, Canadian boreal zone, Arizonan Sonoran desert, and the wilds of Connecticut. In addition to crunching geospatial data sets, I enjoy jazz piano, vegetable gardening, and traveling by bicycle.

About the banner photo: I took this photo from an airplane when leaving Canvasback Lake in Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge, north of Fairbanks, AK. I spent four days with a field team in a Fish & Wildlife Service cabin on the edge of the trees in the top left of the image. The lake's sinuous shape comes from encroaching vegetation stands and an old river channel to which it is now connected.
